This course covers the critical topic of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), focusing on infections acquired in healthcare settings like hospitals and primary care centers. Learners will explore the risks posed by weakened immune systems, invasive medical devices, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, all of which contribute to the spread of HAIs. The course will also address the impact of these infections on both patients and healthcare workers, with a focus on prevention and management strategies.
